Course Overview

When something goes wrong at an event or venue, the first people on scene are usually stewards, security officers and front of house staff. What they do in the first few minutes decides how quickly the incident is contained and how quickly help arrives.

This qualification is part of QNUK’s Venue Security and Safety suite. It sits between SIA licence linked training and the spectator safety qualifications, giving frontline staff recognised knowledge for the job they actually do at events and venues. It is not an SIA licence qualification.

We deliver it at your venue, using your site, your radio procedures and your escalation routes, so staff learn what to do where they work. Learners sit a multiple choice exam at the end of the session.

Under Martyn’s Law, qualifying premises and events must have public protection procedures in place. This qualification gives you evidence that frontline staff know their part in them.

About the Trainer

Delivered by 1705 Consultancy, a QNUK approved centre, and led by Rob Brettell, a former Essex Police Detective Inspector with 23 years’ service. Rob works as a safety adviser and commander at live events, so the training is built on how incidents really unfold at venues and festivals, not just the theory.
