He holds an MSt from the University of Cambridge and brings both academic rigour and hard-won operational credibility to everything he delivers.
Emma Brookes is a former Hostage and Crisis Negotiator and Tactical Firearms Commander with over 25 years in policing. Emma has led teams and managed critical operational decisions in live, high-threat situations where leadership wasn’t a concept — it was a survival requirement.
Alongside Rob and Emma, our delivery team draws on a wider network of former policing and military leaders — professionals who have transitioned from public sector leadership into private sector roles, bringing with them the kind of operational management experience that no amount of purely academic training can replicate.

The Level 4 Certificate in Operational Management consists of four mandatory units, all assessed through a portfolio of evidence gathered from real workplace activity:
Unit 5 — Develop, Implement and Evaluate Operational Plans for Own Area of Responsibility Learners develop the knowledge and skills to create operational plans aligned to organisational strategy, assess risks, build contingency arrangements, implement plans within agreed budgets and timescales, and evaluate and revise plans as circumstances change.
Unit 6 — Provide Leadership and Direction for Own Area of Responsibility Learners develop the ability to provide clear direction aligned to organisational strategy, gain and maintain the commitment of colleagues, set and implement objectives, and evaluate their own leadership performance through feedback and self-assessment.
Unit 7 — Implement Change in Own Area of Responsibility Learners gain the knowledge and practical skills to implement change effectively — understanding change models, analysing barriers, communicating the case for change to colleagues and stakeholders, and developing, managing and reviewing a SMART action plan for change.
Unit 8 — Address Performance Problems Affecting Team Members Learners develop the ability to evaluate team member performance against recognised criteria, identify and address performance problems, discuss issues professionally and confidentially, and agree and review courses of action within legal and organisational frameworks.
