Practical, plain-English assessments aligned to law and best practice.
I’ve seen what happens when plans are unclear and people are left to improvise. Our risk assessments exist to identify the small issues before they escalate into major headlines. Preparation is kinder than recovery and far cheaper than reputational repair.
We walk your site, map credible threats across terrorism and operational risk, and turn them into proportionate, workable solutions. You’ll receive a concise report, a clear executive summary for leaders, quick-reference actions your team can follow under pressure, and the evidence you’ll need for regulators and insurers — without the jargon.
Your controls and documentation are aligned with Martyn’s Law, the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Occupiers’ Liability Acts, licensing conditions, SAG expectations and the Purple Guide. We help you demonstrate due diligence and reduce the risk of enforcement action or corporate manslaughter exposure.
Behind every risk assessment we produce sits our TRAMM model — Terrorism Risk Assessment and Mitigation Model. Developed from operational experience and counter-terrorism doctrine, TRAMM transforms complex government guidance into a practical, repeatable framework that any organisation can apply.
TRAMM maps 14 recognised attack types against your specific premises or event, scores the effectiveness of your existing controls, and identifies the highest-priority gaps. It integrates counter-terrorism, health and safety, crowd safety and medical considerations into a single coherent picture — so your assessment reflects the real threat environment, not just a generic checklist.
The output is a clear, defensible document that tells you what your risks are, what you already have in place, and exactly what needs to change. Regulators, SAGs and insurers understand it. More importantly, your team can act on it.

Our team doesn’t rely on theory alone, they’ve lived it. The services we provide are shaped by decades of real-world frontline experience.
Yes. Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations, employers and those in control of premises have a legal duty to assess and manage risks to anyone who may be affected by their activities. For events and venues in scope of Martyn’s Law, there are additional obligations around security and counter-terrorism planning. We ensure your assessments meet all relevant legal requirements.
A thorough risk assessment covers the full range of credible threats to your premises, event or operation — including crowd safety, structural and environmental hazards, fire, operational failures, terrorism and hostile vehicle threats. We also review your existing controls, identify gaps, and produce a prioritised action plan so you know exactly what to fix and in what order.
We work with venues, event promoters, festivals, stadiums, local authorities, schools, places of worship, transport hubs, hospitality operators, retail environments and corporate organisations. If you have a duty of care to people on your premises, we can help — regardless of size or sector.
It depends on the size and complexity of your premises or event. A straightforward venue or premises assessment typically takes one to two days on site followed by report production within five working days. Larger or more complex assessments — such as multi-site operations or major events — take longer. We’ll give you a clear timeline at the outset so you can plan accordingly.
As a minimum, risk assessments should be reviewed whenever there is a significant change to your premises, operation or event format, following any incident or near-miss, when legislation or guidance changes, or at least annually. We recommend treating your assessment as a live document rather than a one-off exercise, and we offer ongoing support arrangements if you want a regular review cycle.
Yes. The assessment is only the starting point. We provide a clear, prioritised action plan and can work with you to implement the recommendations — whether that means reviewing procedures, briefing staff, updating documentation or advising on physical or technical controls. We stay available for follow-up questions and can revisit the assessment once actions have been taken to verify completion.
Yes. Our documentation is specifically structured to demonstrate due diligence in the event of an enforcement inspection, inquest, civil claim or criminal investigation. A well-evidenced risk assessment showing you identified risks and took proportionate action is your strongest defence. We write with this in mind from the start — clear, dated, proportionate and referenced to the relevant legislation and guidance.
Yes — this is one of our core specialisms. Our TRAMM model (Terrorism Risk Assessment and Mitigation Model) maps 14 attack types, scores your existing controls and prioritises remediation. Counter-terrorism risk sits alongside general health and safety in all our assessments, so you get a single, integrated document rather than separate reports that may contradict each other.
