Course Overview
Paediatric emergencies can develop rapidly and are often highly stressful for those involved. Early recognition, immediate action and confident intervention can significantly improve outcomes for infants and children experiencing breathing difficulties, cardiac arrest or other life threatening conditions.
This course provides learners with the practical skills required to assess an emergency situation safely, recognise when a child or infant is critically unwell and deliver immediate life saving care.
Training focuses on infant and child CPR, safe use of an AED, airway management, choking response and the principles of effective emergency communication and escalation.
The course is suitable both as a standalone awareness and practical skills programme or as additional refresher training for those already working within childcare, education, healthcare or safeguarding environments.
About the Trainer
Our first aid courses are delivered by qualified first aid instructors across Essex and the surrounding counties, including Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Kent and London.
Training is delivered by experienced instructors with operational backgrounds in emergency response, first aid, public safety and incident management.
Our approach is calm, practical and confidence focused. Learners are guided through realistic scenarios and practical exercises designed to build competence and reassurance in what can often be highly emotive situations.
