FREC 3 First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (2nd – 6th November 26, Chelmsford, Essex)

A five day, hands on pre hospital emergency care qualification for anyone who may be first on scene when someone is seriously ill or injured. The Qualsafe Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) goes well beyond workplace first aid and is the first step on the FREC pathway, ideal for event medical teams, security staff, first responders and those working in higher risk settings.

What You’ll Learn

• The role and responsibilities of a first responder
• Scene safety and structured patient assessment
• Airway management, and adult, child and infant CPR with an AED
• Catastrophic bleeding, tourniquets and haemostatic dressings
• Shock, trauma, fractures, and spinal and pelvic injuries
• Medical emergencies and emergency oxygen
• Burns, environmental exposure and minor injuries
• Clear handover to the ambulance service
