FREC 3 First Response Emergency Care
Professional pre hospital emergency care training for first responders, event medics, security teams and those working in higher risk environments.
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who may be first on scene when a medical emergency happens.
This course goes beyond standard workplace first aid and gives learners the confidence, structure and practical ability to assess patients, manage serious injury and illness and provide immediate care until further medical help arrives.
Course Overview
The FREC 3 course is ideal for those working or volunteering in first response, event medical support, security, close protection, fire and rescue, search and rescue, outdoor environments and higher risk workplaces.
Over the course, learners develop the knowledge and practical skills required to deal with a range of pre hospital emergency care situations. The course includes structured patient assessment, management of trauma, major illness, airway support, CPR, AED use, emergency oxygen and the role and responsibilities of a first responder.Â
It is also recognised as the first step in the Qualsafe pre hospital care pathway and may support progression towards Level 4 First Response Emergency Care for those wishing to develop further in emergency care, event medical or ambulance support roles.
