Staff Security Awareness Training
Half day security awareness training for all your staff, delivered at your premises and built around your site. Your team learn to spot suspicious behaviour and suspicious items, know what to do in the first minutes of an incident and understand their part in your evacuation, invacuation and lockdown arrangements.
Course Overview
Free online products such as ACT eLearning give staff a useful foundation, but they cannot show your team what to look for on your site, who to tell, or what to do when the alarm goes. This course does.
We deliver it at your premises, to your staff, using your layout and your own procedures. It covers the current threat, how attackers plan and how to spot hostile reconnaissance, how to deal with a suspicious item using the HOT principles, and what to do in the first minutes of an attack. It finishes with how your evacuation, invacuation and lockdown arrangements work, so every member of staff knows their part.
It suits every role, from front of house and security to cleaning, catering and office teams, and it helps make sure the people who will carry out your Martyn’s Law procedures know what to do.
Want your staff to hold a regulated qualification? The accredited Level 2 Award in Counter Terrorism Protective Security Awareness covers similar ground with an assessment and certificate.
About the Trainer
The course is delivered by the 1705 Consultancy team, led by a former Essex Police Detective Inspector with 23 years’ service. We deliver the accredited Level 2 and Level 3 counter terrorism qualifications and provide event command and safety management on live events, so the training is grounded in how incidents actually unfold.
