First Aid at Work – 3 Day Course

Our comprehensive First Aid at Work (FAW) course provides learners with the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to a wide range of workplace injuries and medical emergencies.

Suitable for nominated workplace first aiders and organisations where a First Aid Needs Assessment identifies the need for a higher level of first aid provision.

Course Content

Learners will cover:

• Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
• Scene and casualty assessment
• CPR and AED use
• Unconscious casualties and recovery position
• Choking
• Bleeding, wounds and shock
• Burns and scalds
• Fractures and spinal injuries
• Head and chest injuries
• Anaphylaxis
• Heart attack and stroke
• Seizures, asthma and diabetes
• Minor injuries and casualty management
